Prof. Hong Yin

Zhejiang University, China

Yin Hong, Qiushi Distinguished Professor in Technology Innovation at Zhejiang University, focuses her research on surface functional chemicals’ structure design and its industrialization by using the principle of reaction selectivity and structure selectivity control principle. She solved the problem of the regioselectivity of starch esterification and the gelatable modified starch which can crystallize rapidly at room temperature was initiated. The patent formed by related technologies won WIPO-CNIPA Award for Chinese Outstanding Patented Invention-Golden Prize (the applicant as the first inventor, 2018). With the above patent as one of core technologies, the project Innovation and Industrialization of Crucial Manufacturing Ultrafine Important Lipid-soluble Nutrients Technology won National Award for Technology Innovation-Second Prize (the applicant as the third accomplisher, 2016). She has been in charge of more than 10 research projects, published 100 plus papers indexed and granted 40 plus invention patents, including 10 plus Internationally authorized patents.

Prof. Qi Wu
Zhejiang University, China

Dr. Qi Wu is a full professor in Department of chemistry, Zhejiang University. Wu received his Ph.D in 2003 under the supervision of Prof. Lin XF in Zhejiang University, where he studied the non-aqueous enzymology and the synthesis of glycol-conjugates. After graduation, he worked as a post-doctor at Zhejiang University in 2003-2005, and became an associate professor at Department of chemistry. In 2008-2010, he studied the directed evolution of highly selective lipases in the group of Prof. Manfred T. Reetz at the Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung as a visiting scholar. His research interests are in the rational design of enzymes and their applications in the precision synthesis of chiral compounds.

Prof. Zhen-Min Cheng

East China University of Science and Technology, China

Dr. Zhen-Min Cheng graduated from East China University of Science and Technology, and he has been a professor of chemical engineering in the same university since 1999. He was a visiting scholar in Laboratoire des Sciences du Genie Chimique in France and the University of Queensland in 2001-2003. So far, he has published over 150 academic papers in SCI indexed journals, and written three text books in chemical reaction engineering for postgraduate curriculum teaching. His research covers multiphase chemical and electrochemical reaction engineering, transport process simulation, and interfacial engineering. His development of phase transitional operation for exothermic reactions was awarded with Zhang Changgong nomination by the Shanghai Society of Chemistry and Chemical Industry in 2004.  His innovation for methanol synthesis under nonwetted condition in the liquid phase has proved that gas-phase reaction can be conducted even the catalyst is surrounded by the liquid. And his rivulet partial wetting model in a trickle bed was selected as a front cover paper by Chemical Engineering Science. He also developed microchannel electrochemical reactor for CO2 reduction to avoid agitation which should be inevitable in the H-type electrolyser.
